Michael G. Pedley, President
Education: BBA University of Cincinnati, J.D. University of Dayton
Michael has been in the advancement industry for over 13 years with experience in the areas of alumni relations, annual giving, planned giving, and corporate and foundation relations. He served as the head of fundraising at the Diocese of Raleigh. Currently, he is the Assistant Vice President for Corporate and Foundation Relations at Purdue University. Michael also has 10 years of management and law experience. His wife, Storie Pedley, graduated from West Lafayette, and Michael has 3 girls in West Lafayette schools.
Bradley Cohen, Vice President, Alumni Committee Chair, Founding Board Member and Past President
Education: West Lafayette High School Class of 1983, University of Wisconsin Class of 1987
Brad currently lives in West Lafayette and is the co-owner of Arni’s Restaurants. He is married to Ann Cohen, and they have two children: Jake, a recent WLHS grad, and Sarah, a current WLHS student.
Sue Lasater, Treasurer
Education: BBA, Finance and Accounting, University of Wisconsin – Madison, MBA University of Michigan
Sue is currently Director of Finance at Endocyte, Inc. She is married to David Lasater and they have three children, Will, Zach and Anna who are all in the WLCSC.
Mary Beth Whitman, Secretary
Education: B.S. University of Indianapolis, M.S. Purdue University, 36 hours beyond my masters to earn a Media Specialist Endorsement
About Mary Beth:
Mary Beth is a retired West Lafayette teacher (38 years of service). Mary Beth and her husband Mark have been married for 43 years and have one adult son, Josh.
Beth Bangs, Events Committee Member
Education: Registered Nurse, Ohio Valley School of Nursing
Beth works as school nurse at Happy Hollow School. She and her husband, Roger, have been married for 25 years and have two sons, Alec and Brian (both WLHS graduates).
Cassie Hilleboe, Events Committee Member
Education: B.S. Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness and Health; Certified Tabata and Barre Instructor
Cassie enjoys working with clients to help them achieve dietary and overall wellness goals. She is passionate about working with the West Lafayette Schools by volunteering in a variety of ways, and she loves spending time with her family and supporting her girls in their vast activities.
Jim MacDonald, Finance Committee Member
Education: B.S. Management from Purdue University
Jim is a partner with Gettings Reed Financial and a father of four WLHS grads. He is also a WLHS grade, class of 1976, and he enjoys Purdue athletics and playing golf.
Sally Downham Miller, Development Committee Member
Education: PhD in Educational Administration from Purdue University
After teaching elementary school in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Sally served on university faculties in Virginia Beach, VA and Cleveland, OH, and she spent time as a building administrator in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Indiana. Sally served as the Director of the Development for the Foundation from 2011-2014. Upon retiring in December 2014, Sally was inducted as a board member for the Foundation. Sally is proud of the projects undertaken by the Foundation, particularly the Student Technology Instructional Commons (STIC) and the Rise Above the Mark documentary.
Tom Schott, School Board Member
Education: Ohio Wesleyan University, Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, 1990
As senior associate athletics director at Purdue University, Tom Schott oversees the athletics department communications area, including media relations, social media and the website. He currently is in his 25th year at Purdue. Tom’s wife, Jane, teaches and coaches at West Lafayette Jr./Sr. High School, and they have two sons, August and Sam, who are WLHS students. Tom is a member of the West Lafayette Board of School Trustees, he has traveled to all 50 United States, and he is an Eagle Scout.
Alyssa Wilcox, Development Committee Chair
Education: B.A. from Saint Mary’s College, M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut
Alyssa Wilcox is the Associate Vice President for Advancement at Purdue where she is responsible for the fundraising operations for the College of Engineering and the Krannert School of Management. She and her husband, Michael, have two children enrolled in the West Lafayette school system.
Tracy Eaton, Development Committee Member
Education: B.A. (New College), MSW (University of Michigan)
Tracy currently lives in West Lafayette with her husband, Tomas, and has two children in WLCSC.
